INTRODUCTION
The “PATHSHALA” Chandwe is a Co-educational English medium school. It is situated on Shiv Mandir Road about half kilometer away from Chandwe chowk. It is managed and maintained by Gramin Bal Diksha Trust (Jharkhand), Chandwe, Ranchi, 835217. The school has a big campus with pollution free and peaceful environment. There are sufficient spaces available for games like Football, Cricket, Basket Ball and Volley Ball etc. The “Pathshala” is committed to maintain high standards in academic, co-curricular activities, personality development, of its students. To inculcate the spirit of healthy competition and to induce leadership qualities, the students are divided into four groups DAYA(RED), VISHWASH(YELLOW), KSHAMA(GREEN) and SHANTI(BLUE). Group wise competitions in literary, math/science aptitude, cultural and sports activities are held to provide children with the opportunity to showcase their talents. Students are also given opportunities to participate in various inter school competitions State /National level. Students are given balanced training in arts and craft, music, dance, yoga, karate and computers etc. In order to develop leadership quality, environmental awareness and managerial skills, regular excursion/picnic trips will also be arranged besides other related activities.

PATHSHALA, aims to develop all necessary managerial/entrepreneurship/personality enhancement skill and making its students a responsible citizen and thereby to lead a descent life. It is seen that most of the schools do not pay attention towards an overall development of students. They compel these budding minds to rote the study material and thereby make them handicapped and unfit to face the challenge of the Modern World. We aim to take care of individual students, so that he/she may be trained in multi dimensional skills, e.g. to decipher individual aptitude and to train accordingly for achieving excellence, to make them competent enough, to instill entrepreneurship quality, to make them to lead their life independently, to train them not to search for job but to provide jobs to others. As we all know villages are souls of our country. Unfortunately after 69 years of our independence the standard of education in villages has gone down to alarmingly low level. There are many “Gudri ke lal” in our villages, but because of improper education system, their intelligence/aptitudes get destroyed. They are bound to lead substandard livelihood. We aim to provide a system of education for excellence. We aim to provide a system of education to remove all such discrepancies and to train to accept the challenge of future.

We owe a deep sense of gratitude to Professor (Dr.) Nand Kishore Agrawal. It is his VISION and INSPIRATION that “PATHSHALA” has come into existence. Professor Agrawal is an eminent scholar. He was BEST GRADUATE-1970 of Ranchi University. He was awarded Gold Medals at B.Sc.(Hons)- 1970 and M.Sc.(Math) – 1972 examinations of Ranchi University for standing on the top of the merit . He has served Ranchi University as Head, University Department of Mathematics, as Finance Officer and as Dean, Student’s Welfare. He has been an active research worker as well as a popular teacher. Born and brought up in Jharkhand and being an educationist, Dr. Agrawal realized that the present education system needs a little modification, so that our students, especially those belonging to rural areas, get sufficient training to be independent thinkers, industrious and entrepreneurs and not merely job searchers. Immense curriculum should be there for personality development of our students. “PATHSHALA” is committed to fulfill his vision.
